4. The purpose of processing personal data
The purpose of the register is to manage customer relations between the register holder and the customer as well as marketing and communication. The register management and data processing duties can be outsourced to the register holder’s partner, who is committed to complying with this privacy policy.
5. The data content of the register
The register may contain the following information about the customer:
– Name
– Telephone number
– Address
– E-mail address
– The name and business ID of the organisation
– Contact log
6. Data sources used
The register is compiled from the register holder’s customer information system, website visitor tracking tool, publicly available Internet sources and other public sources, both free of charge and chargeable. The register also holds information provided by the visitors’ own consent.
7. Transfer of data to third parties
The register holder does not transfer the data to third parties, with the exception of the register holder’s possible partner mentioned in Section 4. Data must also be transferred to the Finnish authorities by their request.
8. Transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
As a rule, personal data is not transferred outside the European Union or European Economic Area.
9. Principles of register protection and data retention period
Personal data is kept confidential. The data networks and equipment of the register holder and its possible IT partners in which the register is located are protected by a firewall and other necessary technical measures.The customer’s personal data will be removed from the customer register if the customer has not used the register holder’s services for two years. In addition to the register, customers’ personal data are included in accounting documents, the storage of which the register holder is obliged to ensure for the statutory period (maximum 10 years). Upon expiry of the retention period the documents containing personal data will be destroyed by shredding or other reliable means.
10. Cookies
The controller’s website may use cookies to develop the user experience. A cookie is a text file that is stored on the user’s computer when they visit the site. It contains information and is used, among other things, for marketing and website development. Cookies are used to collect information about the use of the pages. The cookies do not permit identifying the users. The user can disable cookies in their browser settings. The register holder does not guarantee proper operation of the website after the cookies have been disabled.
11. Rights of the data subject
The data subject has the right to require that the register holder present a clarification on the information entered in the register concerning the data subject, and the register holder is obliged to deliver such clarification to the data subject within a reasonable time. The data subject has the right to demand rectification of any inaccurate data concerning them. The data subject has the right to demand removal of their data from the register, and the register holder is obliged to remove said data from the register upon closing of the customer relation. However, the register holder is not obliged to remove the data concerning the data subject, if there is a weighty reason for keeping it (e.g. a requirement by an authority, the customer has unpaid services, etc.).
12. Validity of the privacy policy
This privacy policy will be updated as necessary. The currently valid privacy policy can be found in the footer of our website. The date of the latest version of the privacy policy is indicated in the document heading.
